An island gem, particularly out of season

The island of Menorca is just 30 miles long and some 12 miles wide. It is very explorable and is an ideal out of season location for a villa holiday.
Those that know the island, take the Cami de Cavalls, a picturesque path which runs around the whole island. You can do it on foot or hire a bicycle. If you are adventurous, you can do the trek by horse from one of the many excellent stables on the island.
For the fit and young at heart, Mount Toro, the highest point on the island, provides a 360 degree panorama.

We hired a villa on Menorca last year. It was a fabulous holiday. Great location, nice local people and excellent help and service in the supermarkets. We could not have asked for better. This year, we went to an Italian hotel. It cost more and was not as much fun for the kids. Next year, we will do the villa holiday again and I would be happy to go back to Menorca

You could say that we are the lucky ones who live in "these" holiday places, and you could be right. The other day, with the snow on the beach, there was just me ,the dog and a couple of seagulls.Difficult to think that within a few months we will have visiters again,(and warmer weather).Menorca is a delight all year round, but I have to say -roll on the summer!
